   Fix a fallback to plaintext via CONNECT proxy
   For HTTPS requests going through a CONNECT proxy, wget2 discarded the result
   of the inner TLS handshake. If the peer's certificate fails validation, wget2
   printed the certificate error and then sent the full HTTP request in cleartext
   to that peer - including cookies, Authorization headers and request bodies.
   
   Introduced by commit 1fd5c15d, affected versions >= 2.1.0 and <= 2.3.0.
