avcodec/bsf: add jpegapp to inject JPEG APP segments Inject APP0..APP15 segments from a length-prefixed sidecar into each MJPEG packet after SOI. A zero-length record passes the packet through. An APP1-only payload retains the existing APP0; a payload starting with APP0 replaces an APP0 located immediately after SOI. Consume records in packet arrival order, with a 16 MiB record limit. Missing or invalid records return an error. Remember sidecar read and validation errors so later packets cannot consume a rejected record's payload as metadata. Flushing neither rewinds the sidecar nor clears this error; closing the context does not read ahead. Count every consumed input packet in diagnostics, distinguish I/O errors from truncated records, include the open error text for a sidecar that cannot be opened, and document the sidecar and lifecycle contract. tests/fate/jpegapp: add jpegapp bitstream-filter tests Cover APP1 insertion that keeps APP0, a zero-length record, APP0 replacement, a missing record, an oversized record, and continuation after an oversized record. The sidecars are generated with printf from the existing smjpeg sample, so no new sample is required. Escape colons in sidecar target paths through both BSF parsing layers, so drive-letter and other colon-containing paths reach the filter intact. avcodec/amfenc: make encoder statistics feedback opt-in Commit 87b7e578ec ("avcodec/amfenc: add encoder average QP stats") enables AMF_VIDEO_ENCODER_*_STATISTICS_FEEDBACK on every submitted surface. The AMF property defaults to false and asking the encoder to collect per-frame statistics is not free: the hardware has to gather the average QP over all CTBs of every picture. On a Radeon RX 9070 XT (Navi48, VCN5) driven through the open source Mesa/RADV Vulkan backend the cost is roughly 48% additional wall time per frame, for a bit identical bitstream. Measured with a minimal build (--enable-amf, AMF headers v1.5.2), 1080p23.976, 4353 frames, hevc_amf, -rc cqp -qp_i 24 -qp_p 24, software decode. Median of repeated runs on an otherwise idle machine: n8.1.2 -quality speed 9.27 s 469.6 fps n9.0.1 -quality speed 13.78 s 315.9 fps n9.0.1 + this patch -quality speed 9.27 s 469.6 fps n9.0.1 + this patch, -qp_stats 1 13.78 s 315.9 fps n8.1.2 -quality quality 16.29 s 267.2 fps n9.0.1 -quality quality 24.05 s 181.0 fps n9.0.1 + this patch -quality quality 16.29 s 267.2 fps n9.0.1 + this patch, -qp_stats 1 23.80 s 182.9 fps The SHA256 of the encoded video stream is identical across all runs, with and without the feedback enabled. Per-process DRM fdinfo shows the VCN encode engine going from 69% to 92% busy at the quality preset once the feedback is disabled - the engine was being starved, not doing more work. Other encoders that call ff_encode_add_stats_side_data() (libx264, libx265, libsvtav1, ...) get the quantiser for free from data they already have, so reporting it unconditionally costs them nothing. That is not the case here, which is why this is made opt-in rather than always on. Add a qp_stats AVOption, defaulting to false, restoring pre-9.0 throughput by default. Users who want the average QP reported in the ffmpeg CLI progress line, or as AV_PKT_DATA_QUALITY_STATS side data, can enable it with -qp_stats 1.Changed files

avformat/rtsp: Validate the SampleRate SDP attribute sdp_parse_line() stored the "SampleRate:integer;" attribute straight into codecpar->sample_rate without any check: st = s->streams[s->nb_streams - 1]; st->codecpar->sample_rate = atoi(p); The value comes from the SDP description, i.e. from the server, so a negative sample rate ends up on the stream. atoi() additionally has undefined behaviour when the value does not fit into an int, which is why 088f08db71 removed it from matroskaenc. Measured with a minimal SDP fed to the sdp demuxer, before this patch: SampleRate:integer;48000 -> sample_rate = 48000 SampleRate:integer;-1 -> sample_rate = -1 SampleRate:integer;99999999999999999999 -> sample_rate = -1 Every other demuxer rejects such values (4xm.c, adxdec.c, 3dostr.c, apac.c, ads.c all test sample_rate <= 0), and rtsp.c itself already guards the rtpmap sample rate and channel count with "if (i > 0)" a few hundred lines earlier, so only this attribute was left unchecked. Use strtol() with base 10, check errno for ERANGE, and ignore values outside the valid range, keeping whatever rate the rtpmap line established. Base 10 matters: with base 0 a leading zero would select octal and silently reinterpret existing decimal rates. The ERANGE test matters where LONG_MAX == INT_MAX, since there a positive overflow returns INT_MAX and would otherwise pass the upper bound check. Measured after the patch, with the rtpmap rate held at 44100: SampleRate:integer;48000 -> 48000 Hz SampleRate:integer;048000 -> 48000 Hz SampleRate:integer;044100 -> 44100 Hz SampleRate:integer;-1 -> rejected, keeps 44100 SampleRate:integer;0 -> rejected, keeps 44100 SampleRate:integer;99999999999999999999 -> rejected, keeps 44100 Note this is defence in depth rather than a fix for a reachable crash: nothing in the RTP/RDT path divides by sample_rate, and avcodec.c rejects a negative rate when the decoder is opened. avformat/mov: Check sample_rate in stsd version 2 audio The QuickTime SoundDescription version 2 layout stores the sample rate as a 64 bit float. Converting it to int is undefined behaviour when the value does not fit into int, NaN included -- and NaN slips through every integer-style range check because all comparisons against it are false. The sample_rate < 0 check in ff_mov_read_stsd_entries() runs after the conversion has already happened, so it cannot prevent this. Validate the double before converting it, matching soxdec. Zero is deliberately still accepted: mov_finalize_stsd_codec() substitutes sc->time_scale for a zero audio sample rate, and rejecting zero here would remove that existing recovery without being needed for the conversion fix. Negative, NaN, infinite and out-of-range values are rejected before the conversion. Fixes: mov.c:3031 runtime error: nan is outside the range of representable values of type 'int' Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Signed-off-by: Furkan Efe Can <caglarf646@gmail.com>Changed files

avformat/rtpdec: fix dropped payload after reordering-queue delivery ff_rtp_parse_packet() drains a depacketizer's internally buffered data on the follow-up buf==NULL call only while s->prev_ret > 0. The "while (rv < 0 && has_next_packet(s))" reordering loop delivered queued packets without updating s->prev_ret, so when a packet was returned from that loop, prev_ret kept its stale negative value and the next buf==NULL call was routed into the (now empty) reordering queue instead of back into the depacketizer. For MPEG-2 TS this drops data: when an RTP payload carries a payload unit start indicator (PUSI) on a TS packet other than the first, the depacketizer returns the finished PES, buffers the rest of the payload and returns 1, expecting a buf==NULL call to fetch the remainder. A plain continuation payload (no PUSI, the common case) completes no PES and returns < 0, which is enough to enter the loop above; if the next queued packet carries a mid-payload PUSI, its buffered tail (the TS packets from the PUSI onwards) is never drained and is lost. A single reordered pair of packets triggers this, so the loss occurs rather frequently, not only under heavy reordering. Update s->prev_ret inside the loop and add libavformat/tests/rtpdec.c, which drives the real MPEG-TS depacketizer with full 7x188-byte RTP packets and checks that an in-order and a reordered delivery of the same packets yield identical PES data. The test is registered as fate-rtpdec with a checked-in reference output; its two 64 KiB Output buffers are static to avoid a large stack allocation in main(). avcodec/evc_ps: store dpb_output_delay_length_minus1 in hrd_parameters hrd_parameters() read the third 5-bit length field into cpb_removal_delay_length_minus1 a second time, overwriting the value just read, and never set dpb_output_delay_length_minus1, which the struct declares in that order (as HEVC does). avformat/aacdec: mark ADTS packets as keyframes Since 40bd6d8355 ("avcodec/codec_desc: remove Intra Only prop for AAC") removed AV_CODEC_PROP_INTRA_ONLY from AAC, compute_pkt_fields() in libavformat/demux.c no longer sets AV_PKT_FLAG_KEY on packets produced by AAC demuxers. 64bb91fd3b ("avcodec/aac_parser: set key_frame and profile") restored this at the packet level for builds that use the AAC parser, and faea08b722 ("avcodec/aac/aacdec: set keyframe flag in output frames") together with 281b7fc02e ("avcodec/libfdk-aacdec: set keyframe flag and profile in output frames") did the same for decoder output frames. None of these help the ADTS demuxer's own packets when no parser is involved, e.g. in a build configured with --disable-parser=aac, or when demuxing with -fflags +noparse. Without the keyframe flag, the generic index is never populated, so seeking in raw ADTS streams fails, and ffmpeg -c copy discards every packet as a leading non-keyframe. This change restores the keyframe flag directly within the ADTS demuxer so that packet-level keyframe information is available even when the AAC parser is not used. We can flag every packet unconditionally here: xHE-AAC is not among the profiles possible in an ADTS stream. Add fate-adts-noparse-demux, which demuxes with -fflags +noparse to reach this code path directly, since a build with the AAC parser enabled otherwise masks the bug.Changed files
