   tool: handling of "synthetic" errors
   Certain config failures set the flag `synthetic_error` which in most
   cases fail the easy creation (AFAICT, why exactly this flag is needed is
   a bit dubious). Make sure that `config2setopts()` always fails with an
   error when this flag is set.
   
   The write callback also did set `synthetic_error` which can confuse
   subsequent transfer as this may happen at any time when a response is
   coming in. Do not set the flag in the write callback.

   When adding a share to an easy handle and the share caches connections,
   invalidate the easy handle's last_conn_id and last_cpid. Future lookups
   use the new connection cache and could otherwise find a different
   connection with the same pool-local identifier.

   cf-https-connect: re-arm the timer for the hard eyeballs timeout
   When the first attempt has seen data at the soft timeout, nothing armed
   a timer for the hard timeout, so the second attempt started on the next
   unrelated wakeup only. With HTTP/3 to a host that answers on UDP but
   does not complete the handshake, that is the QUIC retransmission timer,
   about one second later, whatever the happy eyeballs timeout is.

   pingpong: schedule server response timeouts for the socket API
   The nonblocking pingpong state machine checks the response deadline
   without scheduling a timer. A silent server can therefore leave
   curl_multi_socket_action() waiting indefinitely.
   
   Register the remaining time with a dedicated expiration ID so the event
   loop wakes up to check the response deadline.
   
   Add regression tests for FTP using the existing event-driven client with
   an independent test deadline.
