msvc: replace debug CRT GUI popups with stderr output When a curl binary is built with Visual Studio in debug mode, it uses the matching, debug-enabled CRT. The debug CRT by default pops up an interactive GUI dialog by default, also on CI machines, both on AppVeyor CI and GHA, on `assert()` and other low-level failures. This causes the CI job to appear hung, with nothing printed to the CI log, invisibly waiting for someone clicking on a GUI MessageBox. On a remote/headless CI machine this is unworkable. The job then quits on timeout, after blocking other queued tasks (for 1 hour on AppVeyor CI, 10-15 minutes in GHA/windows). To make such failures CI-friendly, fix by configuring this behavior in `curl.exe`, `servers.exe` and unit test binaries, to output all errors to stderr, and to `OutputDebugString()`, overiding the GUI popup. This can save a lot of hair-pulling. Example output, after this patch: ``` Assertion failed: r == 10, file C:\projects\curl\tests\libtest\first.c, line 272 abort() has been called ``` Note, the default debug CRT behavior depends on a number of things, e.g. on a Server Core (or similar) Windows edition, or when run under a debugger. Assuming the default behavior is the expected one in most cases, this patch only reconfigures it for builds made in the curl CI. If you want to enable it, set the `CURL_CI` env to non-empty at configure time, or build with the `-DCURL_DEBUG_MSVC_CRTDBG` C macro. This issue does not apply to mingw-w64 builds, as tested with both UCRT and MSVCRT. They output the assert text to the CI logs out-of-the-box. share: connection pool shutdowns When closing a share with a connection pool, do not run the shutdown sequences even once as there is no "multi" to operate on. Just terminate the connections. multi.c: handle a call to `Curl_multi_connchanged()` with a NULL argument. test_60_05: check shutdown in parallel mode that has the connection pool at the multi handle, not a share. conncache: poll an idle connection for pending input on every reuse Since 2f1e94eaed the alive check in Curl_cpool_conn_seems_healthy() is skipped when it last ran less than a second ago, and that also skipped the pending input check that follows it. An idle HTTP/1.1 connection that had received unsolicited data from the server was then reused within that second and the stray bytes came back as the response to the next request, so every later response on that connection was shifted by one. 8.21.0 refused to reuse a connection with input pending on every reuse, and with 8.22.0 the tool reproduces it at a 900 ms gap between requests while 1100 ms gets a fresh connection. RFC 9112 section 9.2 says a client must not treat data received with no outstanding request as a response, so poll for pending input on every reuse of an idle non-multiplexed connection and keep the once a second limit only for the other checks, the protocol specific connection_is_dead callback and multiplexed connections. Test 1701 reproduces it with sws sending a second response after the first one completed and the tool starting the next request inside the window.
